Facargo Celebrates Arrival of Its First Aircraft

 On January 17, 2024, FarCargo had a special moment as it welcomed its very first aircraft, the Boeing B757-223PCF N185AN (32379). This aircraft, currently on the scene, made its way to Copenhagen, where it's set to get some extra care and maintenance before transforming into SE-RLE.

FarCargo is a fresh face in the cargo carrier world, hailing from the Faroe Islands. It was brought into being by Bakkafrost, a big player as the world's largest salmon producer and fish exporter, back in 2022. Initially, the company is taking flight between Billund, Faroe Islands, and Newark (NJ). And get this – besides hauling fish, it's also diving into the cargo scene for other customers.

Now, here's a neat detail: initially, the airplane is hitching a ride on the Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) of West Air Sweden. It's like joining forces for a bit. Down the line, though, FarCargo has big plans – they're gearing up to go solo by applying for their very own AOC.
